Are You Making Mistakes In Your Relationship?

mistakes in relationships

WHAT DOES A RELATIONSHIP MISTAKE LOOK LIKE?

Involving other people in your relationship?

Not having a life outside of your relationship?

Bad communication?

Over-focused on him?

Controlling or punishing him with sex?

Trying to change him?

Not giving him any space?

WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER A MISTAKE THAT YOU’VE MADE?

How do you feel about making this “mistake”?

Okay, now I want you to consider something . . .

leaning back part 2

FORGIVE YOURSELF!

It happened, it’s over and it’s behind you now.

Whatever it is, and however you feel about it, you can start anew right now.

You can change for a better you.

You can change to make things feel right in your heart and soul.

This isn’t about “mistakes.”

It’s about breaking old patterns and habits.

It’s about doing life and relationships in a way that honors your happiness and needs.

when leaning back is not enough

I INVITE YOU TO EXPERIENCE YOUR SOFTER SIDE.

What are some of the little things that you enjoy about being a woman?

Why not indulge yourself in those things more often?

Ask yourself: What do you like to do? What do you enjoy? Where do you like to go?

Get into the details of you.

In Control

TUNE IN TO YOU FOR AT LEAST ONE DAY EACH WEEK

Listen to positive, soothing and/or upbeat music.

Prepare some super delicious and healthy food.

Avoid all negative media and situations for the day.

Turn off the ringer on your phone (even if just for an hour) and enjoy the peace.

Take a soothing bath/shower or wash your hair or do your nails.

Treat yourself to a full 8 hours of sleep.

Listen to your body and give yourself a break when you feel your physical and mental energy levels are low.

AVOID DRAMA

None of the following things help your relationship (nor your life) and I urge you to avoid:

Gossiping
Busy-Body Talk
Angry outburst
Jealous people
Negative talk

These situations can easily influence and poison your love and relationships! It’s poor energy and it can be contagious.

CHANGE YOUR OLD PATTERNS

Whatever you felt was a mistake in your relationship was most likely a “leaning forward” action.

It was your masculine energy.

Acting masculine doesn’t help your relationship.

I urge you to focus on your feminine energy instead.

Speak and act from your feminine energy.

Leaning forward feels awful.

Especially when you’re pushing a man away with your words or actions.

When you’re in your masculine energy, you need to stop and ask yourself if there’s a better way to get this point across or to make your wishes known to him.

MASCULINE ENERGY

If you do any of the following, you’re 100% in your masculine energy:

try to control him;

try to control the situation or the outcome;

criticize him;

advise him (unless he asked for your advice);

judge him;

warn him;

coax him to get your way;

make suggestions to him;

complain to or about him; and

pry into his business or go through his things.

If you can stop doing these things above, you’ll find a better way of dealing with your man and the situations you feel are mistakes.

HEALING

Healing is facing your feelings, embracing them and going deeper into the bottom of each one.

Healing is dealing with a bad situation, the stuff that happened to you, and the pain that you push aside.

Healing is facing the feelings and the problems head on and one-by-one.

Healing is embracing your truth.

The point of healing is to make things okay with you on the inside so that you’ll be more in your positive and in your truth, especially in dealing with a man or in a relationship.

You’ve got to go deep into your pain, your fear, your despair, your regret, your fury, your rage, your sadness, your confusion, your anger, your embarrassment or your blankness and discover the truth of your feelings.

You start by acknowledging what you’re feeling.  Especially that feeling.

You know . . .

The feeling that makes you

short tempered

want to cry

want to scream.

want to hurt someone

curl into a ball and try to shut the world out

put on a fake smile just so you can make it through the day and

the feeling that makes you want to runaway from everything and everyone.

Whatever that feeling creates – just face it, gently, softly, slowly.

Let it just be there.

Let it touch you.

Let it expand and spread.

Let it go as far as it can go all through you.

And then just embrace yourself.

A big self hug.

Wrap both arms around yourself and embrace the feelings inside of you.

Please don’t shut out the feeling.  Don’t shut down.  Feel your solidness inside.  You are stronger than this feeling.

Now talk.  Talk to that feeling if you want. Say out loud what’s on your heart. Say what you feel.

Speak your honest truth.  Let it out.

Once you’ve said your peace, I want you to search inside and look for something good.  Find a positive in that moment.

Look to something that made you feel good or makes you feel happy.

Look to something that makes you feel alive.

Now sit still with that good feeling for a while.

Expand upon it and let it go through your body.

Breathe it deep into your lungs.

When you heal, something wonderful will happen.

You’ll start to feel your core .

And your outer self will soften.

You’ll feel.

You’ll go beneath that sense that you’ve made a mistake . . .

And you’ll find your truth in each situation.

    Great advice. We all know that we all have had our share of mistakes in relationships or otherwise and the best thing we can do is to learn from them.
